My design inspiration for this range comes from the wide and varied forms found nature and in particular the Orchid species. With some 25,000 different varieties, this gives a very wide and varied recourse for inspiration in my designs.
I am also interested in the play between light and shade and consequently have incorporated lighting into several of these designs, with shadow becoming an integral part of the pieces. This by its nature creates a larger presence when the lighting conditions allow, with the shadow created engulfing a large area of any room that the pieces are placed.
I aim to develop these designs into larger garden sculpture, incorporating flowing water in combination with light to create sculptures that come to life with movement and colour.
